Capsicum Masala/ Capsicum Gravy

Capsicum Masala is a North Indian dish. It is quite easy to make and goes well with Naan, Roti, Paratha, Chapati and Rice too. I found this recipe on "Spice up the curry" and tried it. It came out delicious!

  • Cumin seeds - teaspoon

Preparation
  1. Cut Capsicum into small cubes and fry them in a teaspoon of oil until it is cooked crunchy.
  2. Dry roast the cashew and ground nuts, grind them into a fine powder and set it aside. Then grind the onion, tomato, green chillies, ginger, garlic into a fine paste and set it aside too.
  3. Pour oil in a frying pan and when hot, season with all items under seasoning.
  4. Now pour the ground onion tomato paste and let it cook until the raw smell leaves and the oil starts floating up. Add the red chilli powder, pour a small cup of water and let it boil.
  5. Add the nuts powder and salt and let it cook for another 5 minutes. Now add the cooked Capsicum cubes, mix well and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes. Adjust gravy consistency according to your wish.
  6. Finally add garam masala powder, mix well and serve.
